Gritsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny Yellow Anti-Slip Machiney
Today we helped the local Council prepare the Gritsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny Yellow Anti-Slip Machiney so that it is ready for whatever the weather decides to bring, they shall be ready to keep the streets moving.
This little Gritter was given it’s name after more than 40,000 people voted on the local authorities poll on Twitter back in 2017.
Some of the other machine name suggestions to make the final were;
- David Plowie
- Basil Salty
- Spready Mercury
The council currently has five named gritter vehicles: Brad Grit, Gritney Spears, The Subzero Hero, Mr Plow and Usain Salt.

Wentworth Woodhouse
Yesterday we had the pleasure of being involved with Wentworth Woodhouse and their New Life The Master Plan 2018. Well we repaired the machine that is helping with the repairs.
Wentworth Woodhouse was once the home to the Fitzwilliam family. The house is now a grade 1 listed building. They are planning to spend a huge £150 million which set out the future of the house.
We were called out to repair the JLG 1250AJP. This machine has a massive 38.30m (125.7ft) platform height, with a reach of 19.25m (63.2ft) which is perfect for the hard to reach places!

London Ride 100 for Children with Cancer UK
Calling for your HELP!
Good day everybody.
One of MHS Directors is currently in training for the London Ride 100, to raise money for Children with Cancer UK. This will take place on Sunday 29th July 2018. The race starts from the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in East London passing through Chiswell, Kingston Upon Thames, Molesy, Walton on Thames, Weybridge, West Horsley, Newlands Corner, Abinger Hammer, Forest Green, Leith Hill, Wescott, Dorking, Box Hill Village, Leatherhead, Esher, Wimbeldon Village, Putney, with the route then swinging left at Trafalgar Square, with riders streaming under Admiralty Arch before a spectacular finish on The Mall.
His chosen Charity is Children with Cancer UK. This is a Charity that MHS have sponsored for many years and we hope to keep raising as much as we can for this well deserving Charity. They have helped so many children and their families over the years.
Chris got himself roped in to doing the London Ride 100 with a friend who he used to race Triathlons with. He is currently on a diet of salad and Ibuprofen. The salad to try and get him back to his race weight and the tablets to kill the pain in his left knee from eleven operations (That’s what sport does to your body) Training is tough but he is doing very well at the moment. Last night he did 53 miles round trip.
We are asking for any donations possible no matter how big or small, it is for a fantastic cause.
If you simply follow the link below it takes you to the fundraising page, all donations are greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance to any body who donates
We will keep you updated with his training until the day. Then we can reveal his times and total amount raised.
