Message from Mobile Hose Services Ltd regarding
Coronavirus COVID-19
We recognise that these are unusual times but also know that business drives our economy and the best action is to remain open for business 24 7 until government advice dictates otherwise.
Rest assured, for now, besides making rigorous adjustments for your safety, we are continuing as usual. For instance, we have increased the frequency and depth of cleansing in our offices, vehicles and equipment, and are we are continually training our staff on extra hygiene measures.
We would also like to reassure you that any members of staff will self-isolate if they show even the slightest of symptoms of Coronavirus COVID-19, or have been in contact with anyone who does.
While the next few months are uncertain, let’s work as a community. Together, we will get through this.
Until Government Guidelines advise otherwise, we are staying calm and carrying on.

Queen Elizabeth and Prince of Wales Aircraft Carriers
We had chance this week to see two Royal Navy aircraft carriers that are currently under construction. There’s the Queen Elizabeth, due to become operational in 2020, and Prince of Wales, due in 2022. They were both parked side by side at the MOD base at Portsmouth. This was an unusual sight, as it’s very rare them being together in docks.
The carriers are 920 ft long and displace 65,000 tons apiece. They both feature a new ski jump to assist jet takeoff. This has replaced the old catapults. Each of the carriers can carry 36 F-35 Joint Strike Fighters and 4 Helicopters.
Amazing engineering for a ship the size of 3 football pitches.

Tom-Pac® Bearing Gel is a 100% synthetic, polyalphaolefin, state of the art lubricant, formulated to reduce friction and wear. Tom-Pac® Bearing Gel will not melt or drip and leaves minimal residue. It provides corrosion protection, seals bearings from water and contamination, retains its structure and consistency while in service and remains stable under high shear and high temperature. It will not emulsify and will perform exceptionally well in wet applications. It is virtually waterproof!
Tom-Pac® Bearing Gel is applied in the same manner as conventional grease, with the bearing cavity being filled to approximately 1/2 capacity in most cases.
